Keep your plants on elevated shelves.  While protecting your fur-babies, this is also  a fantastic way for your  plants to get the equal amount of the light they need to thrive.  I used to have my plants all  on one table by the window  but now that I have a tall shelving unit, I find that they  are doing so much better. And now that side table has a much better use -  as a window perch for my dog Ollie.

Use plant hangers - Your Hoya will also look great suspended from the ceiling. Just be careful to hang it high enough from the paws of athletic jumping cats.

Treat the soil  - One way to get your pet away from your plants is to spray the soil with something they really don't like. Try an essential oil, or sprinkling red chilli flakes, coffee grounds, lemon or lime juice or citronella around the plant.

Placing stones on the top layer of the soil - This  prevents your dig-happy  cat or dog from getting her claws in.
